Review: Conjunto Sabrosura “La Comay”

“Conjunto Sabrosura” released their new CD “Moña Pa’ Mi Bongo”, an album that includes more than a dozen respected musicians from Puerto Rico and Cuba. Ihosvany Negret’s mission was to bring the classic sound from his beloved country Cuba to the present and man he did just that. This is one monster production which was produced by Ihosvany with most of the arrangements done by Angel”Pajay”Torres except tracks 6 & 8 which were done by Edesio Alejandro, Cesar “El Lento” Echevarria and Ricky Zayas.  Mi Gente without question this has to be the best CD out now. Oh! I can’t forget to mention the awesome vocals by Mayte Pérez who definitely rocked. In closing I just want to say that it’s not often that a band can put a lasting impression on me like this band has with their tremendo Sabor y Dulsura. Do yourself a favor and pick this CD up. You won’t regret it. And to all my DJs out there. This is Heavy Artillery for your arsenal.

The track I’m featuring is one of my favorites “La Comay”. I hope you like it as much as I do.
