La Orquesta Morel Campos is a New York band from Washington Heights that has an excellent production entitled “Para Siempre” which will be well received by all Salseros. I have listened to this album several times since I received it and I’ll describe it in just one word CANDELA.
Dean Morel Campos who happens to be the leader of the band knew from a very young age that he would follow his father’s (Manolin Morel Campos) and his Great Grandfather’s (Juan Morel Campos) footsteps and continue the family musical legacy. I’m sure both his father and great grandfather are looking down on him from above with a big smile.
This album features 8 quality tracks which contain originals and covers that cater to Salsa Dura / Salsa Romantica lovers and above all Los Bailadores. Two of the tracks were written by Dean Morel Campos “Mi Unico Tesoro” and “La Soledad” and Keko Hernandez is responsible for all the arrangements that help take this Production to another level. There’s no question that this album will merit Grammy nomination consideration by many.
The band’s primary vocalist Peter Pagan shines while showcasing his ability to master both Salsa Dura and Salsa Romantica with a smooth and skillful delivery.
I decided on giving you a preview of one of many favorites of mine “Que Hablen, Que Digan” which will pack all the club dance floors around the globe.
DJ Red Alert! This is definitely a must have for your arsenal. And to all you Salsa lovers. I highly recommend it and should be added to your music collection.
