Mario Ortiz Jr continues his father’s legacy by paying tribute to this master trumpeter by putting together another stellar production “50 Aniversario” in his honor. In this CD just like his previous one there’s a line-up of the who’s who in this industry such as:José “El Canario” Alberto,Cheo Feliciano,Ray de la Paz,Victor Manuelle,Ismael Miranda,Andy Montañez,Tito Rojas,Rey Ruiz,Gilberto Santa Rosa,Tony Vega just to name a few.
This monster orchestra rocks with these off the chain arrangements that make you feel as though you’re back in the Palladium era where big bands ruled. The track I’m featuring is called “Vamos” with Gilberto Santa Rosa manning the vocals on this club banger with a superb arrangement that will definitely keep the dancers on the dance floor asking for more.
This is a CD I strongly recommend and a must add to your Salsa collection. A DJ Red Alert that goes out to all my DJ around the world.
