This is another production from the Venezuelan based label “Tukeke Sounds Record” featuring “Requena Y Su Melao”. This album features several vocalists which includes “Rey Serrano”, Wiwi Buznego”, “Larry Mechado”, “Dimas Pedroza”, and Francisco Requena” and were all backed by a powerful big band sound con tremendo swing.
Francisco made it a point to ensure this production would cater to the dancers and DJs worldwide. After listening to this production I will tell all that he succeeded in doing just that. From the first single released “Somos Novios” a classic written by Armando Manzanero and arranged by Julio Estrada and the second single released “La Esperanza” a tribute to Hector LaVoe sung and written by Rey Serrano and arranged by David Gonzalez. With eleven more swinging tracks on this album it is definitely a must have CD and a great addition to your Salsa collection.
The track I’m featuring is one of my favorites “Palo Mayor” a big time banger with an awesome arrangement by Julio Estrada that will pack all the dancefloors for sure.
