Review: Parranderos Latin Combo

Parranderos Latin Combo’s self-titled debut album includes 9 original compositions written in Iowa and recorded in San Juan, Puerto Rico by Grammy award winning engineers Ramon Martinez and Carlos Velazquez. The collaboration between the 14 musicians hailing from South America, The Caribbean, and the Midwest was funded in part by the Iowa Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts. Exploring musical styles such as salsa, cumbia, merengue, llanera, and more Parranderos keeps the music lively and the Latin music movement in Iowa and beyond alive and diverse.

The track I’m featuring is called “Migrante” (Immigrant) a song that all immigrants can identify with and has a perfect dance tempo with swing that will make it a club favorite.
