This is another track “Grazing in the Grass” from the “Mejor Que Nunca” production by Little Johnny Rivero & Anthony Almonte. This song was originally released in 1968, by Hugh Masekela from his production “The Promise of a Future”. This song takes me back to a different time and era. Where there was no internet and yes we had issues trying obtain our egual rights and the war in Vietnam where we lost so many lives for no justified reason.
But looking back when I was 16 years old when the radio stations would play this song I would close my eyes picture myself grazing in the grass. Something the concrete jungle in New York City couldn’t provide whenever we needed to escape.
I want to personally thank Little Johnny and Anthony for taking me back to a special moment in time.
