We are pleased to introduce Don Luis Colon Y Su Orq. El Gigante and Nepy “El Sonero Jibarito” Maldonado to our NewGenSalsa.com family. Luis and Nepy met in 2012, and it couldn’t have come at a better time for Luis who was working on a new production and was not satisfied with the vocalists he had tried out to date. Nepy in addition to being a Percussionist, Arranger, Producer is also a Lead Vocalist and Luis decided on using him as his lead vocalist and as they say the rest is history. They are currently finishing up a new album of which I’m featuring a cover of a classic which was composed by Miguel Angel Amadeo and was on the late Hector Lavoe’s album by the same name as a bolero “De Ti Depende”. Their version has a new dance arrangement which will without a doubt have los bailadores on the dance floor.
