It is my pleasure to introduce Hector Aponte and his monster new production “Matices De La Musica” to my NewGenSalsa family. Produced and directed by 2019 Grammy® winner producer Doug Beavers. By the looks of things it appears that Doug will definitely have another Grammy nominated production and hopefully another Grammy to add to his mantel.
Hector Aponte, who has sung with many of the top dogs of this industry is comfortable singing a Mambo (Espuma Blanca), Chacha (El Cha Cha No Se Olvida), and/or a Bolero (Antes De Todo) with his smooth delivery that reflects his talent and 40 years in the Latin Music arena. When you listen to this excellent production you will not be able to control your body from swaying side to side to the sound coming from your home sound system, head phones and/or whatever source you use to listen to music.
Arrangers Javier Fernandez, Ray Santos, and Doug Beavers put together, some off the hook arrangements for this Big Band Sound. I would like to quote what Doug Beavers said about Hector Aponte “We really wanted Hector to shine on this one while taking some creative risks, such as the bold french horn and brass intro of “Fatalidades” and the sweeping orchestration of the new arrangement of “Winners”, here performed as a bolero.”
I could continue writing for days about this GEM. But I won’t. I’m just going to highly recommend that you add it to your Salsa music collection and enjoy the beautiful Orchestration of sound.
