Francisco Mejia & His Conjunto Colores Celebrate Their 25th Anniversary With Release Of Their New Salsa Single ”De Colorado Para El Mundo” (From Colorado To The World).

Celebrating his 25th Anniversary as director, producer, percussionist & singer of the internationally acclaimed Denver, Colorado orchestra, Francisco Mejia & his Conjunto Colores are pleased to present their 1st single of their new production of the same name, entitled; ”De Colorado Para El Mundo” (From Colorado To The World)

The style of this dynamic new tune is called nowadays Hard Salsa, which is the preferred style that caters mostly to the dancers of the genre, with a super musical arrangement by the prominent percussionist & producer Pablo Chino Nunez, the tune highlights the contrast between the voices of the 3 stellar singers of Colores; the melodic Sonero Jose Alberto Cabrera, the powerful & sensual voice of Christine Barbosa & the traditional Rumbero flavor of Francisco Mejia. ”De Colorado Para El Mundo,” is of the inspiration of the ingenious composer Lino Iglesias, who was also the vocal producer of the tune.

Brief History of Conjunto Colores

During the late 1970’s, the city of Denver, Colorado witnessed the birth of the Peruvian pianist orchestra ”The Octavio Figueroa Salsa Band,” in 1987, Octavio decides to move to Los Angeles, Ca. & he leaves his Denver orchestra to 2 of his musicians; Francisco Mejia & Gary Socias, who decided to change the group’s name to Conjunto Colores.

In the year 1994, Francisco becomes the owner, director & exclusive producer of the Conjunto Colores. Under the leadership of Francisco, the Conjunto Colores has recorded 5 cd’s of original Salsa & Latin Jazz tunes of very high quality, which have received worldwide acceptance & recognition in the Latin music scene.
