Presents His Solo Debut En Mi Voz, to be released on September 30th on Ovation Records
Having established a long career on the New York Salsa scene for over three decades, vocalist Marco Bermudez is considered one of the genre’s premier vocalists. He has demonstrated his wide-ranging talent as a background vocalist and lead singer on several well-known recordings with the likes of Isidro Infante & La Elite, Los Jovenes Del Barrio, Conjunto Clasico, and the Mambo Legends. For the last 16 years Marco has been one of the three lead vocalists and an integral part of the success of the 3X GRAMMY winning ensemble Spanish Harlem Orchestra (SHO).
Bermudez exhibits his full arsenal as a solo artist on En Mi Voz, his forthcoming debut recording and the first release on the Oscar Hernández-led record label, Ovation Records. Bermudez’s talent, style and color palette as a vocalist are evident on this vibrant production, which was produced by Hernández – one of the top producers and arrangers in Latin music, and leader of SHO. “ With this solo release Marco Bermudez firmly establishes his voice & style in the pool of the great Salsa singers and soneros of today. En Mi Voz undoubtedly demonstrates Bermudez’s clear vocal sound and his unique style as an improviser (sonero) in this genre. This is especially highlighted in songs such as “Unicamente Tu” and “El Toston De Maria”. Bermudez also showcases his imaginative and lilting romantic side with “Solo Basta” and “Esperando Por Ti”.
