I’m proud to present this Montreal based orchestra Lengaïa Salsa Brava who are celebrating their 10th anniversary with the release of a third album, Estética de un Rumbero, a powerful and inventive salsa dura recording, that takes the band to a new level. This is one production that true Salsa Dura lovers/DJs must add to collection.

Who are we?
Lengaïa Salsa Brava is a 12-piece multi-awarded and Juno-nominated Canadian orchestra based in Montreal and created in 2012 by French Guyanese trombone player Giany Huyghues- Despointes. As its hometown, the orchestra is multicultural and has 8 different nationalities: Colombia, French Guyana, Venezuela, Peru, Quebec, Cuba, Spain and Dominican Republic. Lengaïa has collaborated with several international artists from the world of salsa such as Ismael Miranda, Ismael Rivera Jr and Jimmy Bosch.
Our artistic approach
Our motto: “La salsa dura de siempre con el sabor de ahora” is what defines our musical proposal. The orchestration of 3 trombones and a baritone saxophone gives an aggressive and powerful identity to our music. Constancy and professionalism govern our work. We maintain the heritage of the 70s’ New York salsa style with original and innovative songs.
