Review: Cabanijazz Project “Infrasonic”

Cabanijazz Project

“Infrasonic”

2018

They say that Jazz and/or Latin Jazz is the music of improvisations and self expression which brings me to this new band Cabanijazz Project and their excellent Production “Infrasonic”. What a refreshing way to express yourself. This production epitomizes what it means to express yourself musically.

With a unique brass combination  of Tenor/Bari/Bone with a versatility which is limitless and identifies their unique sound. Then you add  excellent arrangements that take this combination to another level and makes it work beautifully.  Javier Cabanillas won a Grammy with the Pacific Mambo Orchestra and is a well respected percussionist from San Francisco, Ca. and he gives credence that our musical family in the West Coast is current in the Latin Jazz Scene.

The tracks are all awesome such as one of my favorites “Primavera”  which we will preview for your enjoyment (I also love the title), I heard this track and decided to get a bottle of wine and sit back and crank up the volume. Before you know it,  the track ended and the wine was gone (Ha,Ha,Ha). A must add to your Jazz collection. The album will drop on May 1st, 2018 and can be pre-ordered at Amazon.com
