It gives me great pleasure to welcome “Monty Y El Truko De 6” to the NewGenSalsa family. Their new Album “Desde Puerto Rico… Pa’l Bailador” which was released in August 2018, and has caught the Salsa world’s attention.
Monty the leader of the band told me he loved listening to the great Sextets from the 60s. Such as Joe Cuba and his Sextet and renowned vibraphonists Cal Tjader and Tito Puente who were very instrumental in popularizing a musical concept that unite the piano and the vibraphone and making these two instruments such a successful and unique combination.
The album has 9 tracks which will definitely keep you dancing. They bring that old school flavor from the fabulous 60s. I have added one of many favorites of mine “Asi Es Mi Lola” for your dancing and listening pleasure.
I highly recommend that you add this GEM to your Salsa collection. And to all my DJ brothers, this is a must have for your arsenal.
