Review: Kayvan Vega “Tirandote Piedras A La Luna”

Kayvan Vega is a very talented singer/sonero from Puerto Rico who has sung with many well known orchestras such as the master Willie Rosario, La Primerísima de Tommy Olivencia, Puertorrican Power, Bobby Valentín Orchestra, Orquesta La Solución, La Charanga Moderna , Edwin Clemente and other bands.

Kayvan, was inspired by the likes of Ismael Rivera, Chamaco Ramírez, Cheo Feliciano, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Giovanni Lugo and Isaac Delgado. And has performed in the following venue/events el Festival Tempo Latino (France), el Festival Latinoamericando de Milán (Italy), el Festival de Salsa Fiesta Casino y el Carnaval de la ciudad de Panamá (Panamá), la Feria Internacional de Cali y el Carnaval de Barranquilla (Colombia), Lincoln Center World Music Festival, Lehman College Music Fest., Hostos College of Music, The Copacabana and the New York City Puerto Rican Parade, Montreal Jazz Festival and the Toronto World Music Festival, Halifax World Music Fest., Winnipeg Folk Fest. (Canada), Orway Theather (Minnesota) and the Chicago Puerto Rican Parade,

As you can see this young man has performed with the best and has been featured around the world and we at NewGenSalsa are featuring one of his tracks “Tirando Piedras A La Luna” from his smokin’ CD titled “Bien Chevere” which was released in 2010.
