Spanglish Fly has recently released two tracks “The Brooklyn Boogaloo and My Shingaling Boy” both produced by two time Grammy Award winner Harvey Averne who was a big part of the Boogaloo era back in the late 60’s. The track I’m featuring is called “The Brooklyn Boogaloo” which I premiered at the Brooklyn Bowl a few months ago and was well received by all the dancers. These young cats have a funky big band sound and feature the sexy Erica Ramos on vocals. They’re responsible together with DJ Turmix for bringing the Boogaloo craze back to the main stream.
So Beep Beep, Bang Bang…Brooklyn do your thing Wepa!
